Effectiveness of Art in helping us in time of the COVID-19

Because of this this pandemic, many people are being affect during the times of lockdown. Many people are being stressed and because of the pandemic, people are only allowed to stay at home until the cases of COVID-19 will lessen and the world become great and better. Being in home for a too long is being like holding our freedom. Many of us are experiencing a lots of difficult emotions about this pandemic. It possibly includes the feeling of getting sick, the government policies and restrictions, or struggling to think when the pandemic will end. But it is understandable to experience some of the difficult feelings about this pandemic, especially after living through it for too long time. There is no ‘normal’ response to a pandemic. We are being emotional unstable because of this pandemic, and we should maintain ourselves in a good health. Because, if we intend to keep being emotional unstable, it might affect our mental health. This will lead into several consequences, and we need to maintain our mental health in a good condition.

ART can help us to maintain our mental health in good condition. Because, art is the one who can help people to boost their confidence and make them feel more engaged and resilient. Also, art engagement can lessen the anxiety, depression and stress.

Here are some ways that shows the importance of art in the times of COVID-19

MUSIC CAN HEAL

According to researchers, the benefits of music therapy for various mental health conditions, including depressiontrauma, and schizophrenia (to name a few).  Music acts as a medium for processing emotions, trauma, and grief—but music can also be utilized as a regulating or calming agent for anxiety or for dysregulation

Music can help us change on how the way we think, act and feel. The Researchers from the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development have found that music increases memory and retention as well as maximizes learning capabilities. Also, the music help us to reduce our stress and help us relaxed which helps our mental health in a good condition.

Doing ART such as Painting, Drawing and Dancing can even more help us to maintain our mental health in a good condition.

Art is good for our health

Art helps us to quickly communicate ideas through our memorable visual task. it is a proven tool that it help us to reduce our stress. Making or looking to an work of art has an effect that help us to boost our brain function and our immune system and also it contributes along with our mental and emotional health.

When we feel down, art help us to process in our difficulties. With art, this will help us to express ourselves and work through our experiences.

While we are not able to congregate with friends and families as we usually would as we live through this pandemic, art allows us to create a message of gratitude from a distance. 

Through paintings and songs, you can make inspire and encourage everyone to take an action by voting green or fighting for conservation. No matter how far apart we are, art can help us to feel relax and bring us closer together.

Since being on a lockdown is very stressful for many peoples that leads into several consequences like having a stress, depression and more. This consequences will lead into having an illness, and we must prevent this happening so, we can able to maintain our mental health in a good condition. There are many ways to prevent this several consequences happening. Doing Arts played a big role during the times of pandemic. We can see how does art improves and maintain our mental health in a good condition. We can’t able to control the situation happening around the world. But, we can prevent those situation affects or harm us.
